Detailed description of Bridgton Highlands Country Club

Bridgton Highlands Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Bridgton, Maine.

Bridgton Highlands Country Club first opened for play in 1926. The course designer was A. W. Tillinghast. he designed a 9-hole par-37 layout. This was his only Maine designed golf course. The actual hands on work was done by Francis Barton. In the 1980's the original holes 7 and 8 (current holes 4 and 14) were replaced. The design work was done by Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva. In the 1990's the course was expanded to 18 holes. The design work was handled by one of the new owners, Fred Ryan. The new nines were an incorporation of the Tinglist, Barton, Cornish and Silva holes with the new Ryan golf holes.
